BIS Laboratories in India

BIS Laboratories in India is a National Standard Body of India that was established in 1986 under the Bureau of Indian Standards Act. The Bureau of Indian Standards, 2016, is the most recent amended act that is currently in effect. BIS serves the customer’s interests by providing Conformity Assessment Schemes for goods and services providers’ products.

Producing companies can obtain the ISI Mark for their products through the Product Certification Scheme procedure, which is required by Indian Standards. Producers can register for self-declaration in accordance with BIS set Indian Standards through the Compulsory Registration Scheme for assessment through BIS recognized laboratories.
